Job Title: Home to School Coordinator

Home to School Coordinator/ Family Support STSJP. The Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties, Inc. will be a community leader in education, prevention, rehabilitation and recovery. This position will be in the Hudson School District and is to divert youth involved in the Juvenile Justice System from detention or residential placement. This role will offer family support to coordinate services such as transportation, respite, support groups, peer to peer partner model, education about navigating the systems and to provide youth engagement and empowerment to develop skill necessary to remain at home and in school.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or three years experience working with families in human services field. Knowledge of children and family services in Columbia County; including the knowledge of Department of Social Services, Juvenile Justice System, Mental Health, OPWDD and the operations of school districts. Must have good interpersonal, listening and communication skills. Experience working with children and the families of children with social, emotional and behavioral challenges. An understanding of cultural family differences and values, and ability to remain non-judgmental is essential. Must have a valid and clean driving record and pass all clearance backgrounds required by the Justice Center.
